I am new to the forums but not to modeling, although I did take a 10 year hiatus from building. I live on the central coast of California and am currently building specific models dedicated to the heritage of my Air Force reserve sq, the 9th Space Operations Sq. When not building WWII aircraft, I like building WWII vehicles. to date, I have build a P-51 mustang, a B-24 Liberator, a Willys Jeep, and just finished a Kubelwagen. I have a R-66 Destroyer waiting in the wings to be built. With the exception of the P-51, the R-66 and the B-24 were flown by my Sq, during its first iteration as the 761st Bombardment Sq (B-24s) then as the 9th Tatical Recon Sq (R-66). If anyone has more info (besides Google) on these sq please let me know. Otherwise my thanks for reading.
Very nice country there. I was just in that area a couple of months ago to spend a week with my brother who lives in Lemoore. He was stationed there as the PAO of Lemoore Naval Air Station for 20 years until he retired a few years ago. He took us to quite a few places including Pismo Beach. N-i-c-e.
