I am a 33 yr old returning modeler, i havent really pursued scale since i was a kid spending the summers with my grandmonther in backwoods mississippi. I had figured out some aspects of what makes a model look “Real” like acutal wires for the spark plugs, i even experimented with dry brushing before I ever knew it was a acutal technique. I can remember i used to paint old willis jeeps olive drap/camo over steel over rust (mixed red/brown) and then go back over the spots with fine sandpaper or steel wool to expose the various layers, simulating wear quite well from my 10yr old point of view. But the models I see on this site are UNBELIEVEABLE! I cant say I have ever used a airbrush but I AM going to have some sort of rig before i start any of the models I have accumulated over the years. I must have 8 tamiya 1/35 tanks and a few Dragon ones now… Anyways, hi all and please check my other soon to come posts.
