Hello Fellow Modelers!

Hi All,

I’m new to the forum here. I’m looking forward to learning new teqniquies and seeing other peoples work! I love this wonderful hobby and art-form and am a lifelong learner. I’m most exited about 12th scale and larger, but appreciate all scales. Eventually I want to get more into diorama building/Train layouts as well.

…Also, how/where do you upload pictures?

[snWcm] aboard, Keith! Good to have you with us in the FSM asylum, and I hope you enjoy your time here. It’s a great, low-key group with lots of different areas of interest and levels of experience. We love to share – photos, tips and tricks and techniques…and sometimes ridiculous (or otherwise) stories. Dive in and live the madness! [proplr]

As to photos, they need to be hosted on a 3rd party site (such as Postimage, which I use – simple and free!), then just insert into your post using the “Insert/edit image” icon [the landscape picture frame thingy] in the tools panel above your post. The actual code line you need to paste depends a little on the host site you use – usually pretty simple to figure out, but if you have difficulties, just sing out and you’ll find lots of (mostly-) helpful advice from the inmates…er, forum members here. [:D]

Cheers

Welcome Keith. 1/12th - wow. I only have bikes in that scale. For pics you have to host somewhere, I use imgur.com. Then put the link to the photo in your post.

Hi!

And Welcome to the best modelers Asylum in the country. Don’t worry though. You will find an inmate that shares your scale and maybe just maybe I can help a little with the train stuff if it’s not to serious! T.B.

Welcome to the forum

Welcome aboard!

Hi Keith! Welcome to the Forums! Glad to have you aboard.

Stay Safe.

Welcome to the forum, Keith! I look forward to seeing your builds.

As to posting pictures, as Greg said, you need to use a hosting site to store your photos, and link them here in the forum. You can use the insert feature, but I find it easier simply to copy links from my host (Postimage) and paste them right into the body of my posts. I dispense with using the Insert feature altogether; it’s superfluous.

Best regards,

Brad
