Hi, my name is Steve After a 20 year absence the modeling bug has bitten again! I’ve been building tamiya 1/35 armour and am now going back to my first love, planes. I was given a Hasegawa 1/32 P51-D “Tuskegee airmen” which I will be starting soon! I will have a few questions to ask which I hope don’t seem dumb?
Welcome to the Forums Steve! Glad to have you aboard! There’s no such thing as dumb questions. However, you might get a dumb answer once in a while as some of us (like me) have been sniffing glue and paint fumes for a long time (67 of my 73 years) and our brains might get a little scrambled sometimes. [;)] Seriously though, there are a lot of great guys, and gals, on here that have a lot of knowledge that they are ready, willing, and able to share with you. So, don’t be afraid to ask. Sometimes you might have to wait a few hours or days for an answer as there are time differences and work schedules that interfere with quick responses.
OH, almost forgot, Everyone on here likes to see photos of your builds. That’s what keeps us happy.

Welcome aboard. As Jim says, ask away. All we ask is plenty of pics and as much involvement as you can.
And ignore Jim, he’s as sharp as a pin.
Welcome Steve! No such thing as a dumb question! Ask away! Can’t wait to see that P-51!

Welcome Steve.
Thanks for the welcome.
Welcome to the Forum, Steve.

welcome to the forums
Thanks again for all the kind welcome messages! None of my mates here in OZ are modellers so getting any tips is non existent, as well as the fact that the closest “proper” hobby shop is around 350klm away. Since joining the forums and reading other people’s posts I have found an answer for just about every question I have had. I’m only able to visit the mobile site at present so I can’t post any pics
Thank you all again, it’s so nice to be on a forum that seems to be full of people who genuinely want to offer advice and help without the “Do it my way or you’re doing it wrong” attitude. Steve
