Hello and welcome to the forums…nice to have you. Look for one of the liquid glue. I use both Tenax 7-R and Testors. The way I use it is to hold the pieces I’m gluing together and dip a small brush into the glue and touch it to the seam and let it flow into the seam. Tenax is pretty much instant while Testors gives you a little time to adjust if needed.

Welcome aboard good group of builders here. For glues I use Ambroid proweld and the inexpensive little tubes of super glue. I find the larger bottles of super glue go bad on me before the bottle is half empty.

Factory fresh, eh? Guys, we can mold this one the way we want! j/k

Which glue to use is a loaded questions. I would say DON’T use tube glues, for me they are difficult to use and I’ve always found them to be a right pain in the place we use for sitting.

Tenax, ProWeld, Testors Liquid, and Tamiya Super Thin and Regular are all excellent. I personally use the two Tamiya kinds: Super Thin for running down seams like Dan says and Regular which is thicker and can “hold” onto smaller pieces while it cures. CA glues (Flash or Zap-A-Gap) usually come in three “thicknesses” and can be used to fill gaps, and with an accelerator, instant curing.

I recommend gap filling CA and Micro Weld highly. The super glue is great for small or difficult parts that need to set instantly, and makes a great filler for small gaps. The liquid Micro Weld “wicks” (capillary action) down a seam, and as it softens and welds the plastic, it will ozze out of the joint slightly, filling any voids. A little careful clean up and no visible seam! Also, CA is an absolute necessity if you plan to use resin and/or photo etch after market accessories.

Again, welcome to the forum, hope we see you here often!

Octobers Fine Scale Modeler has a great article on seam filling this will answer some of the glue-usage questions.

Welcome to the hobby and the forum.

Can’t add more to the great advise already given, but wanted say welcome to the forum!
