My primary love is 1/35 modern US military with an emphasis on armor and infantry. However I really enjoy 1/72 US aircraft also. But I enjoy doing just about anything.
I was heavy into the hobby about 10 to 12 years back (I have a Tamiya product catalog in mint condition to prove it [;)]) but got out of it. I was recently in Longs Drugstore and saw a 1/35 Tamiya M1A1 and it reminded me of how much fun I use to have modeling, so I picked it up. I’ve been on eBay fiendishly buying discontinued Tamiya modern US armor ever since. [:D] (discontinued modern armor? Isn’t that an oxymoron? LOL)
I have three modeling dreams.
- To build a 1/35 C-5A.
- To do a 1/12 US Air Force Security Forces soldier
- To build a diorama of armor from the 3rd ID battling the Republican Guard outside Iraq
I have lots of questions about camouflage, super-tine detailing, and airbrush’s(ing) so I look forward to lurking and asking lots of questions. [:D]
