I joined a year ago but just hadn’t had the time to get involved other than reading my subscriptions and learning as much as I can.
My main interest is aircraft and some cars. The first aircraft I flew was a P2V Neptune, that will give you a clue to how old I am. I have the P2 kit but will not attempt to build it until my skills improve. Also S2 Grumman and P3 Orion, but in my heart I was a fighter pilot.

Hey Blaine,
No need to worry, lot of us with gray hair and watching and researching. Pick something that interests you, is affordable but isn’t your end all be all, and start building. While a lot can be said for reading and watching, at some point you really only get the skills when you try them yourself.
Me, I’ve got plenty of kits in the stash that I have high aspirations for, but not sure my skills are up to snuff. But I continue to improve too.
