i bought a Monogram PBY—kit #5613, but it didnt have the clear parts package in it. I ordered the parts i needed from Monogram, and when i got the package today, it said the kit had been discontinued, and that all the parts couldnt be supplied. I didnt get, of all things, the canopy. Everything else was on the clear sprue except that canopy. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what i can do. The kit is coming together very well, but damn, i would hate to have to stop becuz of no can-o-pee
As soon as you have an answer or a suggestion please let me know!, the same thing happened to me a few months ago, but that time was with a B-24J from Monogram, i dont know what to do either, would be a shame not to be able to get the clear parts for our models so man i wish you good luck…

It may be that this kit is not in production at the moment, but it’s not likely to be dropped from the catalog for any length of time, if at all. And if they can send you what they sent, they’ll probably have more.
It’s kinda lame to send a whole sprue of clear parts and not include one of the single most important pieces on that sprue.

I don’t think the B-24J is available any more? I didn’t see it on their web site. Don’t know if Revellogram can still provide “missing” parts? Vacuform canopies are available from Squadron and Koster, possiibly others.
What is weird is, it looks like the canopy was detached from the sprue…at least something was cut off. Why would they send the whole clear parts tree, and not include the canopy. And boy, do they have bankers hours on Friday. I tried to call them, and they close shop at 1 or some such dumb hour.

The same thing happened to me, it seemed like some thing was cut off, everything else was on place except for the canopy, i called Monogram and they told me that they couldnt help me that the model was discontinued and that was it, i have the model and i havent been able to do nothing with it. and JRIDGE thanks for the tip, i´ll look Squadron and Koster… hopefully i´ll be able to find my missing part jeje 
no luck with Squadron or RollModels in Minnesota. Does Koster have a website, and if so, does anyone know what the address is?
I cant’ find a website for Koster. I found two address? I didn’t get a hit on either one on www.qwestdex.com or www.anywho.com Maybe someone on the forum can check a local phone book?

just thought id put my two cents in
I bought Koster’s B-24D to PB-4Y/B-24J conversion kit and I don’t remember it having a canopy. It did have all the turret and nose glass variations.
