Here is my Airacobra from Heller. The kit is alright, no major fitting problems-- the only complaint I have is the raised panel lines, which I tried to highlight with a silver pencil.
I motorized it and this time I took pictures of the process. The pager motor is held in place by modeling clay (the white stuff) The clay holds it tight yet allows for minor adjustments for the prop. The switch is the pitot tube and the power supply is a 3V watch battery held in the fuselage. It can be changed through the wheel bay with tweezers and a little patience.
All the vents and exhaust pipes have been drilled out and the wing guns and machine guns have been replaced by brass tubes and hypodermic needels respectively.
That’s a very nice looking P-39, and the panel lines look great. That trick with the silver pencil has really done the job. And as for the spinning prop, you better be careful it doesn’t fly off!!!LOL
I would say it cost additional $20 -$25 for the extras.
The kit came with optional 3 or 4 blade propeller and I went for the four blades. I think it must be the Kingcobra or something.

A trick that I use for raised panel lines/rivets is under coat the kit with the colour that you want to show through , paint the kit and gently remove the paint on the panel line with a sanding stick .
