Heller DC-10

I’m new here but I am considering the Heller DC-10. Are there any JMC Air decals in 1.125? Thanks![:D]

There’s very little available at that scale, but if there is, you’ll find it here:

Download the catalogue and you’ll have the list of just about everything that relates to airline modeling!

Welcome aboard, by the way!

If you haven’t bought your kit yet, I’d suggest you try to find Hasegawa’s 1/200 DC-10. More choice there!

Is it like the airfix DC-10 Scaled up[?]

VC-10, I actually have never seen the Heller DC-10, but I’ve seen their 727 from up close (I built it!) and have seen the parts of their Airbus 300. It’s just that Hasegawa’s 1/200 liners are so much more crispier in details and in the general quality of the plastic and molding. The fit is excellent and allows for painting, decalling, weathering of subasseblies prior final put-together with pva glue… Also, there are tons of decals available for 1/200 kits, and very few for 1/125…

Airfix DC-10 is not bad I think but it also suffers from poor fit and lack of details…

I have never seen a 1.200 kit bar a Revell 737-200 but i have lots of 1.144 kits (A300, A310, A320, A321, A330, A340, A380, B727-200, B737-200, B737-800, B747-200, B767-300ER, DC-9, DC-10 [with an obsestion] BAe 146, BAC 1-11, Concorde, VC-10, Trident etc) but we don’t really get Hasagwa in the U.K. All my kits are Airfix or Revell AG

Revell AG =Germany
Revell Mono=U.S.

By the way i recomend Revell AG kits, They’re great![:D] They have LOTs of deatail, some have every maintenance marking on the decal sheet.

(I am dyslexic and cant spell. My appologies!)

Yeah, the later Revell kits are fantastic. I have several of them too from the Fokker 100 to the A340, not forgetting the Beluga. Fantastic kits. Hasegawa 1/200 airliners are available in the UK, you just have to look for them. Hannants have them, although some are not in the catalogue at times, and are re-issued regularly with newer liveries… If you want bigger scales, then I’d go Doyusha, although some of their kits need some corrections but all in all are way better than the old Heller kits and even older Aifix ones. And at 1/100, there are more aftermarket decals available…
