New Heller Citroen 2CV, started today. Decision, car, pick-up, flat bed or camper? AH, remember only twin cylinder air cooled motor, so nothing too heavy!

So far I’ve had two suggestions, a camper and a pickup style food wagon!

Hi Pat!
Hey, you know what? I have never seen that weird old design done up as a “La-Ta-Da” Limo! I think that would be a switch fur sure.
Yes Tanker-Builder, but again with a 30hp 600cc, two cylinder aircooled mill!
Today,

James Bond: For Your Eyes Only.

Just a thought.
Funny you mention that fotofrank, when I opened the box there were two bodies, one inside the other!
If you’re going ‘food truck’ the HY would be a much more practical choice.
Camper might be interesting. [proplr]
So!
Put one powerplant in front and the other in the rear!
Well! I’ve just found images of just that! Advertised as a 2CV 4X4 with front and rear engines!
The roof is off! I may try and build a de-mountable camper shell!

Update: I couldn’t think of anyway to construct a camper shell other than on the base vehicle.

This is the high-tech template for the camper sides, I’ve yet to work out how to cut for windows!

Cut open and framed windows on one side.

See Pat!
There you have it ! a 2Cv-4x4 LOL.lol.lol! And you thought I fell off my rocker! P.S.Have you ever driven one. Don’t! It’ll scare the C&^p outta ya!
No Tanker-Builder, I’ve not seen one in the flesh, but wouldn’t mind trying to drive one! Yes I can imagine it would be something that you would never forget in a hurry!
Hi Pat!
I got to drive one about four years after the good folks in California decided to out fit cars with the first smog systems. Getting on the 5 freeway at 3;30 in the afternoon for the trip home scared me worse than I ever was in Viet Nam, Then, when I got home to the U.S., the big Semis would almost blow us off the road! Myself and my three passengers could’ve got out and pushed us faster!
I get the message. Is that why you don’t buy our/Mercedes Smart Cars?
Nearly there!

Hey, I like what you are doing here!
Question though. As an R.V. won’t the structure have a deliterious effect on speed, leaving us again with the question of pushing it uphill in gear ?
Yes you will just have to take a long run at any hills, maybe a few miles. If a truck is passing throw a chain to hook on the back of it!
Nearly, nearly, I thought of woodying it but with the 600cc engine it would never move! It looks grubby so I will have to come up with something! It will have an ‘L’ shape edging trim around most of it, and superimpose a rear door as well.

Looks nice Pat! Would a small flathead V8 fit up front? Looks like enough room there if you remove a little of the fender well. Nothing elaborate, just something to give it a little uuummmppphhh.
Stay safe.
