Mostly OOB, with exception of laser-printed chevrons and bar, and Historicals hakenkreuzen. The harnesses are from aluminium foil (ex-coffee tin freshness preserver). Aerials from Aeroclub rigging thread and superglue. Gunze paints mostly, as usual lately
This is how it looked a few nights ago, together with a profile of the a/c I was trying to emulate:
and this is how it looks now that it’s finished:
Thank you. I agree with your comment about the sow’s ear, but I wouldn’t regad this as quite the silk purse. It’s far from that, but it does represent the only 190F in my collection to date, and the only example I have of Luftwaffee RLM 81/82/76 camo.
Brews, OUTSTANDING job, my man!! Is this another of your “two day” or “weekend” builds? If so, you probably don’t even have a stash of kits, as you’re building them as soon as you buy 'em! Great job!!
Actually, I bought this about 20 years ago, for 7.80AUD, IIRC. The instructions confused me, and it languished for a while, I’d dig it out, do a little, and put it away. I got seriously stuck into it either on the weekend or early this week.
My stash is in no serious threat of dwindling away at the moment, I’m afraid. If I can continue to build 2 kits per week, I have enough kits to do me for 20 years, taking vacations into account. And that’s not taking into account the serious temptations that Squadron has been throwing my way this year.
Brews real nice work on the 190. It looks like your’s came out better then my 1/72 attempt did. I built "double green chevron about a year ago. The payload and variant are slightly off[:D]. I did it as a guided bomb carrying F-9. The only thing I see is the radio antenna should be slacked with the blown canopy in the open position.
