The figures are:
First one DML Modern US Marines with custom head and added med pack.
Second DML Modern US Marines legs (added BDU pockets), modified Delta torso, head from Nemrod’s Blackhawk crew and the camelback is a resin copy of HobbyFan’s OIF Marines.
Yes to make the straps I use lead foil either from vine bottles (we don’t lack these here [;)]) or bought at LHS.
Avus, the figures look great. Good job. How are those heads and the roof molds coming? Can’t wait to see them.

I haven’t made the molds yet since I want to make a mold of the bulkheads, too.
Once the molds are done I’ll spend a week end casting for all the people who asked me for parts.
I was considering ask a company (Cobra Co. maybe) to have my parts cast professionally.
I’m still checking in from time to time. I haven’t had much time to get a workshop set in place to do any building that’s more complicated than putting wing halves together. I hope to have the factory back up and running at 100% after the holidays, especially since an airbrush is high on my Christmas wish list.
Sounds great. I agree that you should see if Cobra Company will cast/market them. I think they would sell.
I’m still here as well, have been busy with a bunch of models that arent as near and dear to my heart as my medevac bird, but am still checking in from time to time!!!

The move is complete, and my inprogress uh-60A medevac conversion survived mostly intact, however lokoing at it now I think that I’ll go back and re-work some of the scratchbuilding that I have already done. I am debating adding all the wiring on the main rotor hub for the de-ice system, and some more details inside the cabin.

Guess that today was pic day - here are some pics of where I stand right now. I have a bit of rebuilding to do after the slight damage from the move, but that is for another day.

I am not sure that I like the base color that I have, I want to represent a bird that is very sun faded and has all the oil/ hydraulic fluid stains/ dust of a bird in theater for a while. I have the MM Helo drab color but am not sure how to lighten it up, any suggestions?

I’m affraid I can’t show any progress to my hawk myself, since she’s been back in the box for over 6 months now, due to some other responsabilities.
Also, I might try to do something different with my kit, but that ofcourse will depend on when and how severely my wife crashes her RC Carboon (comparible with with is in the US sold under the name Hummingbird) [8D]

Never fear my fellow modelers, OPEN END can easily be translated into “the rest of forever!!!”
I think that some of my motivation to eventually complete this bird is the fact that I see Hawks every day!! Although no longer the Medevac A models.

Well, the last time I saw a real hawk (and the first time, since I’ve seen this bird only once in real) it was a VIP-version for transport of generals and other useless payload [}:)], so the inside looked more like a limo than a chopper.
Anyway, still waiting for my lady to crash her R/C Carboon to canibalize that and make my hawk a flying model.
