I have the Chinook on my list of things to build, so sounds good. Probably won’t happen until after January though, getting too far behind on stuff I’ve already started and I’d really like to finish something.
OK, if someone can direct me to decent info on the Boeing-Vertol 234 Commercial Chinook, I’m definitely in. I know two were operated by British Airways, and that another one ended up in Colombia, but that’s about it…
Are the side ‘bins’ bigger on the 234 than on the CH-47D? I know the rotor blades are wider, but how much wider??
Please put me down for an MH-47E SOAR Chinook. The kit will be Italeri’s 1/72nd MH-47E with Cobra Co’s US Army Olive Drab lettering. If there is time, I also have an Italeri RAF Chinook HC.1that I could contribute as well.
No problem albymoore I’ll add you and your kits to the list, BTW I saw your cobra over at Kalamazoo. Congrats on the award! It looks even cooler in person.
If somebody has any ideas for the GB Badge other than mine feel free to show us anything.
Thanks for the congrats Balta. I had a ball in K-zoo. I met some nice folks, scored some great deals on some kits, and bringing home the hardware made it that much more enjoyable [^].
Well I managed to get the fuselage mods completed on the MH-47E. The larger fuel tanks didn’t want to cooperate this time around (they dropped into place on the first SOAR Chinook I built). I just need to do some minor filling in spots (especially around the window inserts) and the hardest part of the build will be done. I’ll post some pics tomorrow, must hit the sack!
