Does anyone know if their are any conversion kits to turn a 1/72 H111 into a H-22 version with the flying bomb under its wing as I woulkd love to add one to my collection of aircraft?
I am not aware of any conversion kits on the market but some have suggested that this version may be on Hasegawa’s list for it’s new line of He 111 kits!
I hope that it is because they are a great looking version of the H111 and I think many people would build it if they where available easily.
If you have buyed the Italeri Do-217 and He-111kit you’re lucky… you can easily convert the last one into an H-22… first, canibaliza the Do-217 kit,and use its turret for replacing the dorsal gunner… you need to modify this place with plasticard… instead of exhaust pipes, you can use these flah dampers provided with the kit… the problem is: there are only two and you need four… and these two are for the same side… so, a little scratchbuilding is needed… one wing has mark for opening hole, ther is where the V-1 must be fitted, you also need a loop antenna… and finally… can you see this L-shaped antenna provided with the kit?.. well you must open a hole in the starboard side an attach it facing forwards…this is for the V-1
I might look into doing just that if Hasegawa don’t bring out the H-22 version!
