He162 landing gear color

Hi

I just went on to continue on my tamiya He162, the problem is that I have apinted the landing gear bay in a green gray color (not rlm02, the color is pretty close to brittish grey green). The only info I have found online is to use rlm02 but when comparing with the pictures of the 162 being restored in france my color looks spot on. The only thing I remeber is that the color I used is straigt from the bottle of eiter vallejo or xtracryllix.

Any idea of what the color should be? Or should I just repaint in rlm02?

As far as i can recall it should be RLM 02. The only other interiour colour is RLM 66 i think, but this is mainly for cockpits.

Aircraft being restored, if it be in a museum or private, are not always a good source for judgeing correct colours.

Thanks, I have no idea why I used the greengray color but now it’s resprayd in rlm02.

I finished up a 162 not too long ago, my references said RLM 02. That being said, it was a late-war production, it wouldn’t surprise me if many went out with a “whatever we have” paint system! Post some pics if you can, I love seeing these late-war Luftwaffe subjects.
