Nice undertaking Bish! I really like Hase’s 1/72 twin engined kits. Nice scratch work. I’m with you, the only thing I have against scratchbuilding is all the extra time…Like pe and resin upgrades don’t already take long enough…
Don’t I know it Nathan. If it wasn’t for AM, we could be knocking them out by the week. You sit there doing a couple of seat belts, and the next thing you know, an hour has gone.
But o well, its the end result that count’s, right. I just got the left fuselage together, took me 45 mins, it just didn’t want to join. I think I might leave the other one for tonight.

Thanks Stage. I have finally managed to get the two fuselages together, but they were a struggle. It could have been the compartment floor I fitted. I am hoping to get the yellow markings painted this weekend.
Just stumbled on this thread, Bish, and I’ll be following it from now on with great interest. I have two He 111’s just sitting around. One is labeled “P” and the other “P/H,” both from Hase. I’ll be looking to pick up some hints and techniques.

CMK, I have the P kit, and I was tempted to get that P/H kit. The reference work I am using for the interior is mainly photo’s of a P, but it works for an H as well. That P/H kit, which H version do you get.

It says it’s from “KG 55” on the box, and a “Limited Edition.” I was hoping to use it for a Battle of Britain aircraft. Is it correct for that? I think I read somewhere that the “P” variant was in use then?
Eagle, don’t you dear, I have enough to do already, and I seem to have kits falling from the sky this week.
CMK, ye, the P variant was in use during the BoB as was the early H variants. I just found an in box review which says the H is an H-2, so that would also do for the BoB. The only difference is the engines. I might have to try and grab that kit, Hannants still has them.

Yea, the best I can tel is the boxing was of the mid 70s. I got it in a mixed lot as a bagged kit with no decals or crew.
This is one on ebay now and I think the seller was sniffing too much glue.
I think your right there, but as they say, something is only worth as much as someone is ready to pay for it.
I bought a Darth vadar TIE a few months back for around £20 and there was a few there for similar prices. But one guy had one on buy now for £85. Not sure what planet he was on, but last time I checked it still hadn’t sold.
Do you plan on building the 111 as an H-6.
Time for my next update. I mislaid the navigators folding seat for the left cockpit on Thurs and I finally found it this morning so was able to finish the pits. I have folded this one up, and the next time I think I might make my own from thinner plastic rod as the kit ones are a tad to thick.
I got the yellow painted on the wing tips and fuselage band done last weekend and its now ready to attach the main parts.
And close up of the cockpits and the rear compartment of the left fuselage.
I have done some test fits of the wings and these are going to need a bit of filler. So the plan is to fit these and let them dry for a day or so. In the mean time I can get the canopies worked on.

Eric, as I always say, its what I am used to, so it doesn’t really seem that small to me. It can be fiddly getting some parts in, I am just grateful for a magnifier and steady hands.
All the wings are now fitted, and it went together better than I expected. Now started on the canopy’s.
