Well Marc, I gave them all a really good look, and if there are mistakes, (I think I saw a seam or two where there maybe shouldn’t be one) my 50-yr old eyes missed them. I like what I see. The weathering is spectacular, I like the added details to the landing struts, and that’s a lot of glass to mask but it looks like you nailed that, too. Excellent pics as well, I must say. They really capture the look of the bird from all angles. I like it…a lot! Nice work! [tup]
I thought she was 1/48! Great job, Marc. Love the undersides.
Very well done! Did you use Eduard’s mask for all that glass? Or did you do it yourself?
Roy
Very nicely done Marc [tup]. The winter camo/weathering looks real good & the tricky canopy area came out great.
Regards, Rick
Superb work! You might have to put in arrows and big red circles where you think your mistakes are. I sure don’t see 'em[%-)]. Very well done execution of your scheme.

Wing-nut,
I’d have to say that the list of what’s right with the model would be far longer than any list of possible criticisms.
It’s a sharp, detailed, technically clean build with excellent weathering…overall it’s quite a realistic representation of an He111 and is a very nice model - you should be very happy with what you’ve done.
My only possible criticism would be a slightly heavy hand on the silver drybrushing on the prop blades - that’s the only thing that looks a little out of place - but that’s just a personal preference of mine, not a build error on your part.
The weathering, exhausts, canopy, winter cammo - and all the rest are great - very nicely done, mate. Beautiful model.
Thanks for sharing the pics!
Don’t you already know that guys named Marc (or Mark) don’t make mistakes??[;)]
Seriously, Marc, if there are any mistakes, I have no idea where they are! This project looks great. Well done.
very nice, I like it. Very impressive for 72 scale

Thank you all for the comments. Glad you like it. Great kit… highly reccomended.
Roy… I had the whole thing masked with Bare Metal Foil but a problem forced me to remove it all. I ended up using the Eduard masks and love 'em.
LeeTree…Yeah I had a real problem with this build with the seams popping open as I was handling it for the final bits and pieces. A good part of the leading edge came unglued but I was lucky enough to have masked the black under side exactly at the seam so at least that one can’t be seen. The vertical stab at the leading edge is completely unglued. I see that I missed part of one under and engine.
Marc, you are definately at the top of your game with this one. The winter wash is top notch, and the craftmanship, finish and weathering is right there with it.
I don’t know much about Luftwaffe aircraft, but it looks mighty good to me.

Great looking 111 Marc…love the winter camo.

The Eduard masks sure make it easy to get the masks spot on, don’t they? And a lot less fiddly than Bare-Metal Foil, my second favorite tool. The Hasegawa kit’s nice. Really makes for a pleasant build. Love the underside colors!
Jerry, Aaron… thanks.
Next trip to the LHS I think I may oprder a set of masks for all the kits in my stash. Thnaks goodness my stash is very small… and a bunch of Eduards Profi-Paks[;)]
Wow! What great detail. Your photos look professional. Nice job overall. I like the camo scheme, very unique. I sure don’t see any mistakes. I first used the Eduard Masks on my Accurate Miniatures 1/48 Avenger. They saved me a ton of time and were very easy to remove. Now I swear by them on any kit that has a lot of glass!
Thanks MattSix. And thank you too Yardbird, I did not mean to pass over you.
I too had to double-take on the scale, I was thinking it was 1/48! As many have said, if there are any mistakes, they must be so few and minor that most people would not see them. YOU are probably harder on the model than anyone else, but then aren’t we all our own worst critics?!
You’ve done a fantastic job on the aircraft; winter camouflage, and the bottom…winter camo., black, and blue! All of that and detail that would make a 1/48 model blush! “Spot on” with just the right amount of weathering too. ([2c])
Thanks for sharing you “work” with the rest of us!
Thanks rbkep. I appreciate the kind words.
Wing Nut.
Sweet ! The winter whitewash looks very nice, but the thing that really impresses me is the weathering of the black surfaces. I’ve seen a few posts on this site and others asking how it could be done. You could give a clinic on the subject. Very nice!
