I was really surprised to see how little info (red photos or history) of the Hawaii air Guard is out there on the web. I recently did a TDY to Hickam and visited the unit. I took a bunch of photos of there static aircraft, but am wondering if anybody else has photos or info on the History of this unit. Now I’m not talking about their F-4C’s or F-15’s. I’ve got lots of stuff on those birds. What I’m looking for is their P-47N’s, F-86’s, F-86D’s and F-102’s.
Also, I kno there’s the decal sheet for the F-4C, but is there any other aftermarket decals produced for the other aircraft? I swear I saw somebody post a P-47N in Hawaii ANG markings recently. They really are some snazzy and colorful aircraft and I’d appreciate any info or pics you folks could scrounge up. Maybe even a web link.
