WOW!!!

Amazing simply amazing.Surely something to work to.

The guy who builds these aircraft lives in my area also.
He is associated with the Fremont, CA chapter of the IPMS I believe, and they have meetings about 20 minutes away from me.
He is indeed a master modeler and has the weathering down pat as it is amazingly realistic.
I don’t understand how he only got 2nd place at the Nationals in AZ though for that F-14 diorama. [%-)]
The first place entry must have been incredible. [:0]

Mike

Mike olny thing I can say is for you to meet the guy and learn how he does it then report back to us.The was incridible build Wow just don’t say it all.Digger

This guy is not just a master but a super master… the weathering looks just like what the true F-14 does look likeafter 6 months at sea.
Super build.

Incredible…absolutely incredible. I think it would be safe to say that he is the caliber of modeler we all wish to aspire too.I agree with MikeV,I wonder what the first place entry was that had what it took to beat the Tomcat.

great engrish also [:p]

He did win a trip to Japan at this years TamiyaCon.

What a master. I had a lok at some of his other models, Man they are amazing. If I get to half as good i’ll be a very happy guy.

James

Thanks alot Mike, just when I was happy with my jets! I’m going to quit my job and become a model building hermit so that I can be like him…
Nice Viking!!
Ray

I saw it, that particular model/diorama, at the 2004 TamiyaCon, I believe that he took one of the top four honors that got him a trip to Japan. There is a really nice how to/walkthrough on building your favorite the F-15E on that website.
