Have Gun, Will Travel III

Welcome to the third round of the self-propelled artillery group build,

“Have Gun Will Travel”

Rules as before, any era or nationality, any scale or brand, OOB or AM, which addresses the theme of self-propelled artillery, this being specifically tube and rocket artillery – so long as it drives itself it’s in.

Staring August 1st 2013, running one year to a close on July 31st 2014.

There have been a number of expressions of interest in resuming this theme, so please drop by and let me know what you’ll be working on. I’ll be finishing my Trumpeter AS-90 with etch.

There’ll be a Roll Call list, badges and an Honour Wall for finished projects, as always.

Looking forward to registrations!

Cheers, Mike/TB379

hey mike

will probably do the 1/35 DANA 8x8. the PLA DF-21 ICBM is on a semi trailer but it does have an eractor to the vertical to launch so that should count.

Thanks, WayneC – Roll Call is go! M

Does this include self propelled AAA?

Hi pyrman64 – it would have to be guns only, but I guess I could stretch the definition to include AAA. What did you have in mind?

M/TB379

Mike: I didn’t see anything in the rules here or on part II about partly completed models. I’ve an AFV Club M40 SPG I started for Stikpusher’s Korean War GB and didn’t quite finish. She’s mostly built but I haven’t added some small parts or painted anything but the interior yet. Plus I want to modify some infantrymen into a crew and do a small diorama. Not sure when I’ll be able to re-start on her though.

Please let me know if she’s kosher or not!

I was thinking of something like the German 8t half-tracks with 2cm Vierling 38 or 3,7cm Flak37, or even a M42 Duster?

it’s the trumpeter DF-21. have a pair of them and found some cool camo patterns.

Gamera – that M40 would be a great addition, by all means go ahead and complete it under the banner of this GB!

Pyrman64 – these are all great subjects, and I think they qualify, they are most certainly guns and most certainly self-propelled!

Cheers, M/TB379

In that case Mike, count me in. Put me down for the 1/35th Tamiya Mobelwagen 3.7cm. This will be a cross over from the Duck Hunter GB. I assume cross overs are ok.

All signed up, Bish!

M/TB379

Thanks. I hope to get around it at the end of the year.

Count me in. I will be building the Hobby Boss SU-152

Hey thanks Mike, sounds great! Hoping to get some paint slapped on her when I get the Churchill I’m building for Bish’s D-Day build out of the paint booth.

Hi Mike,

I’ll try to get my Bandai 1/48 Wespe done this time. I didn’t quite make it for the last one.

Cheers

Tony

Glad to have you aboard, Tony! M/TB379

it is the hobbyboss DANA.once i get caught up some on shelf queens will start these.

Hi there folks!

I’d like to join this one as well, but I can’t start work untill January…

I have a Hummel in my stash I wanted to build for some time now, but I never had the opportunity to do so. It’s the Dragon kit in 1/35 (late version).

Maybe I’ll add a GW Tiger later on, but I still have to get one…

Cheers, Clemens

Thanks Wayne; Clemens, good to have you in this unit!
