Have a possible idea concerning GB badges and signature bloat...

And I brace myself for the onslaught.

Anyhoo, surfing the forums like I do, I saw one member with a novel idea. Now, we all know about the new guildlines of member signatures. An image only so large can be posted now. This also (theoretically) limits the number of GB badges you can show, and restricts other photos you wish to show. But I saw a possible solution.

This forum member had all his GB badges in his profile, not his sig. A small text blip in his sig let everybody know where they were at. This not only freed up space in his sig, but there’s no restrictions on size in a member’s profile, encouraging the return of the large, detailed badge. I don’t know about everybody else, but I think this is a great idea.

What does everyone else think? Good idea? Bad idea? Something worth spreading word for? Thanks for any feedback, good or bad.

I dont think its a bad idea at all. Especially since I am just about full.

It’s a good idea. I once used this signature where I only flash the badges I have earned instead of fixing them under my sig:

jinithith2- I’m a firm believer in giving credit where credit’s due. It was a great idea, and I thought I should “spread the word”.
