Haunted Tank Comic

General Jeb in white gloss and a coat of Future. The Future is my insurance policy if my shading experiments fail since a couple of squirts of Windex and back to white paint.

No pictures of trials as it had to come off fast when I didn’t like it.
Experimented with semi gloss black paint. Was too stark and intense.
Thinned some NATO black but couldn’t get it to settle in the engraved detail.
Tried the Nulin Oil wash and it didn’t give me to hazy edges I was after.

Soooo…

Good old tinted Future to the rescue.
Resisted the urge to overdo it and stuck to engraved details and some edges and joints only.

Great effect on the General!

Thanks
I had a few options since he was shaded very differently over the years.
Later in the series he became blue (and the tank a Sherman which completly defeats the purpose of having General Stuart as it’s guardian)

Even later he was white again but much more detailed

And there was even a one shot version that came out in the early 2000’s where he was in full colour that was very unghost like.

I wanted to keep things to the early comics though so went with the very basic highlights.

Spectacular effects with Future! Good idea and handling of the base parts as well.

Base brush painted with heavy acrylic craft paint to give texture for the colour coat and washes to come

Light mottled coat of acrylic craft paint airbrushed on.

And after highlighting washes of Citadel Nulin Oil (black) and Agrax Earthshade (brown)

Gives the “drawn” comic look I was after
