hey everyone, i have a few questions about the hasegawa val. i have noticed a “bulge” on the back of the wing assembly. the kit i have (coral sea battle) says to leave the bulge as is, but for the other val kits, i have noticed that the bulge is used in the final aircraft. does anyone know what this bulge is? and if i don’t use it does the whole area need to be sanded off? thanks for your help.
joey i am building a val from hasegawa also. which bulge are you speaking of. looking at the kit i see the four “bulges” that hinge the flaps. but i dont think that is what you speak of.

it is the bulge directly behind the observer’s panel in the bottom of the wing centerline. should be directly under the gunner’s seat. thanks for your help
