Finally got it done! Had trouble with the wheel spatz decals of my own making, so I masked and painted them. Other than that it was a very nice build…no real fit issues, etc. Let me know what you think…all comments are welcome and thanks for looking! Len

Good to see it finished Len. Another nice looking build as usual! I’ve always liked the look of Japanese torpedo/bombers like the Val and Kate. Well done.
Nce looking build, well done…[Y]
Nice Val. The Greenhouse really looks clean and crisp, and the tail feathers are spectacular. Rick.
Very nice job! You did very well with the tail decals.[Y]
Nate
Thanks Nate! The decals were excellent…I screwed up on the spatz decal and had no choice but to paint `em. Over all,the entire kit was a beauty!
Thanks Rick! Tamiya tape, a new # 11 blade and , in my case, a not so steady hand…lol. Hasegawa decals are awesome and went down with minimal fuss. Thanks for the kind words!
Thanks Jon! You gonna post any of your aircraft? I know youre an armor guy but you have a few awesome A/Cs you should share! And, ah…speaking of Kate…Might be seeing one soon…lol.
Nicely done. I built the same version a few years back & also masked & painted the spats. Sometimes decals just can’t cut it.
Regards, Rick
Looks vey cool. I like those markings. My only critque is that the MG looks too silvery. I’ll be following your Tony.
Whoa, Nellie! Superb build, my friend. That’s a great kit and you sure did it justice!
I’m not into Jap planes at all, but every now and then, I see one on here that makes me almost wanna build one. I’ll include this one on that list!!! Very nice, I really like the colorful tail!
Very nice work on the Val. The painting is superb, as well as the decals.

Your e absolutely right! I meant to weather it but just plumb forgot. Ill try and dirty it up a bit while on the kit. Thanks for pointing that out!
WTG on the Val - looks very nice! Is that a 1/48 scale? I was thinking it’d be neat to do that and a Kate to go with my 1/48 Zeros - kind of a “Japanese A/C at Pearl Harbor” type of display.
Thanks! Yes, its 1:48, the scale I primarily build in. Im doing a Ki-61 Tony right now and Im planning on doing a Kate right after. Ive heard a few people say they were doing exactly what you were thinking…A Pearl Harbor display. You just can`t do the Japanese planes…what fun would that be??LOL. Thanks for the kind words.
Any particular reason why youre not into Japanese planes? WWII PTO fascinates me and I think the Japs had some interesting A/C designs and sometimes I wonder “what were they thinking”! I guess everyone has their favorite and I guess right now, for me, it`s Japanese A/C. Thanks for the compliment!!
Very nice job on the Val! I’ve always liked the colorful markings that adorned many of the Japanese aircraft and you’ve pulled this off very effectively. I echo the previous comments about the canopy - nice, crisp masking indeed.
Good work! [B]
I love the aesthetic lines myself. I’ve got a Zero, Tojo and a Nick in the stash. Looking to add a Kate or a Jill and a Frank.
I also like many of their NMF and camo schemes. Navy and army schemes. Offers some variety for the A/C modeler.
Sweet looking Val, very well done.
