Hasegawa replacement parts

Hey gang,

Anyone know where to get replacement parts for a hasegawa kit? Might need a new topside port wing part for a 1/48 jug razorback

I goofed up the port wing something aweful. I cut out the damaged area and I’m trying to repair it with some sheet styrene, but I don’t know how well it’s going to turn out. Problem is is that’s the the leading edge where the gun ports are. So I’m trying to match the curvature of the leading edge and then once that’s accomplished, I have to make new gun ports.

I used a small piece of .010 styrene and the thickness is dead-on. I managed to match the curvature almost exactly. But, I don’t know how well the patch will hold up to having holes drilled into it. I used Testors’ liquid cement (in the black bottle) to weld the pieces together, but I’m still waiting for it to completely dry.

So, after all that, anyone have any info for the original question [(-D]?

I just got a replacement canopy for a Hasegawa F-18F kit by calling Dragon USA, 626 968-0322. Some have said they were charged postage, but I wasn’t. As long as it is a mold that is currently in production you should be able to get the part OK.

Great news, John!

I’ll get all the pertinent information and give dragon a call.

I had to get a replacement part for my P-38. They dug through their boxes and a week later notified me that they found one. I sent payment and they got my part to me quick. The only down side was I had to pay $4 for an itty bitty part, but I was happy with the customer service!

I’ll have to try that. I’m missing a part for a P-40E thanks to 3 kittens.

Well, just got off the phone with Dragon. They’re shipping the part today [:D].

Total cost was $3.50 for postage. Now I just have to make sure I don’t goof this part up [B)].
