Hi All! Finished up the Kawasaki Ki-61-I Hei HIEN ( Tony ) last night. The kit went together nicely as you would expect from a Hasegawa offering. The only problems I had were of my own doing…gooned up the kit Hinomarus…masked the leading edges of the wings for the yellow ID markers and forgot to seal the decals and , you guessed it, ripped em right off! Had some spare decals in the stash so I used them. Heres a bunch of pics…let me know what you think. Thanks for looking…Len

Hey Len, the Hien looks great from here! Good job on both the NMF and camo scheme. Its a little hard to see the pics, they’re a little small but they look good from what I can see. You sure don’t waste any time…I see you’ve got another WIP up for the Kate…I’ll be commenting there in a minute
Jon
Looks great from this angle.
Thank you for continuing to whet my Japanese A/C appetite. I picked a Hase Hien and a Val at the Seattle IMPS show today, so needless to say, I appreciate all the builds your posting.
I like that scheme and will probably attempt to fudge it up myself at some point. what color/brand did you use for the red and metal?
The model looks fantastic
but
the
post
is
a
little
on the
wide side
(duuno how to do wide so I did long) [;)]
Nice looking Tony. Thanks for sharing.
Regards, Rick
I used Tamiya X-7 Red and XF-11 IJN Green for the splotches. The NMF is Model Master Aluminum Plate Buffing Metalizer. Thanks for looking Tigerman!
Why does that happen??? I enter my text then add my pics 1 by 1 and they are on top of each other. Then…all of a sudden, the pics are side by side…WTF??? I certainly am not doing that on purpose. Sometimes my text gets all chopped up in between my pics. Im sure its something Im doing..or not doing!HELP!!!! I get my teenage daughter to type letters for me with microsoft word cause I cant figure it out…lol!
