Hasegawa F8 Crusader Front Gear Problem

Does the front gear nose strut exit the bay at a 90 degree angle? I am using the Aires resin bay and the stock gear from the kit seems like it is going to take a little modifying. If I move the strut so it exits at a 90, then there is a gap at the back of where the nose strut goes into the hole on the resin bay. Any ideas on how to fill that wedge shaped gap w/o looking funny?

Thanks

Aaron

I’m not sure I follow you Aaron, maybe a picture would help. The F-8 nose gear should come down vertcal for a distance, and then there is a pivot where the long trailing beam is attached. The beam can be nearly horizontal with a load on the gear, and the nosewheel is attached at the beam’s aft end.
