Here is the progress on my 1/32 Hasegawa F6F-3 Hellcat. The basic engine in the really superb Teknics R-2800. Engine detailing and it’s accessory section is scratchbuilt. as is everything else. The oil tank was carved from a solid block of Milliput. I used Waldron’s cockpit placards and instruments since they really dress up a cockpit. If you include the sidewalls, I would hazard a guess there are at least 1600 pieces of styrene, wire, solder, lead and aluminum foil, steel and brass in this thing so far.
Once all the stuff was mounted on the firewall, I wound up having to add a couple of styrene stiffners to the bottom of the cockpit floor to keep it from bowing due to the weight.
With any luck this one will be done for next year’s Nats

Wow, great work. Keep us posted on progress, this one looks impressive.

Unbelievable![bow] I don’t know how else to put it. Are you sure you don’t have some machine that just miniaturizes the real thing?[;)]
