Hasagawa for the EA-6B

Ive got the Hasagawa for the EA-6B. It looks good…But I really dont like the cockpit…yuck[V]…Especially the ejection seat. Do you know where the resin stuff…I cant find it. I found the ejection seats. But thats it.

Hiya John,

That Prowler is a bittersweet kit. It’s one of the first Hasegawa kits to have had engraved lines, but it’s still old enough to have crap for the cockpit. As a Ukrainian friend of mine would say, “Kit is wery nice. Bot, cockpit… cockpit is piece of s***.” He’s a riot sometimes…

Anyhoo, I’m not really into little scale but I don’t recall ever having seen a cockpit set for the Prowler in 72nd. You may be SOL, but perhaps someone else knows of something that’s out there. My instinct says nada, though.

Fade to Black…

Thats what i thought… Its a good fit though…

Now… if someone would just release a near-accurate one in 48th with nice details. And an A-6 would be nice too.

Hear that Hasegawa?

I have the 1/72 Hasegawa EA-6B kit working right now. To resolve the cockpit issue I purchased the Eduard photo-etched detail set (Amazing detail and accuracy and a tone of parts, but bad fits in some spots) and two sets of Verlinden GRU-7 ejection seats. The seat are a little too wide and I had to sand the sides down to get them to fit, but I think those two purchases and a little scratch work will make the cockpit comparable to Hasegawas later kits, if not better!
