Has anyone made Kitty hawk models?

I ask has anyone made them as I have seen a Septcat Jaguar which looks fantastic, but the price for 1/48 kit is nearly on par with Hasegawa. Has anyone made any Kitty Hawk model? If so are they good, bad, worth the money?

I have the F-35B Lightning in the stash, looks good but not made it yet

Got both their F-35B and their Jaguar but haven’t started either. The Lightning reviews have been okay, not earth shattering. I studied the instructions on the Lightning and it left me scratching my head. Part numbers are all over the map, no color call outs and it appears that steps are missing. Building it will require attention and some research. One reason why I’ve kept it off the workbench.

That said, the Jaguar looks like quite an improvement. The parts look great and the assembly looks nice and clean. But I haven’t done more than look at the instructions and sprues while in the box.

I have built the F-35B kit. It required careful attention as the instructions were not great. The plastic itself was brittle and needed special care to work with. Fit was a bit of a nightmare at times. Details were good. All that being said…I enjoyed the heck out of the kit. Using extra care and considerations when building was a revisit to every skill and trick that I had in my arsenal. Given that they are manufacturing kits that no one else makes or has made as of late, I will not hesitate to buy another of their products. The extra work and care yielded a model I am happy with and had a helluva good time building. Reminded me that I am a modeller, not a constructor.

Great to hear, do you know if there’s a shed of truth about a 1/48 Foxbat release?

Only seen this. Here’s hoping!
