Doesn’t say it’s made for that kit, and it looks like I’ll have to cut out the rear deck behind the seat to get it to fit. Just wondering if anyone else has had experience with this particular operation?

I imagine that some surgery to both the kit and the resin would be necessary, but how much I don’t know. It might be a simple thing, or just annoying enough to make it a hard decision to even try.
It’ll be an interesting surgery, that’s for sure. ![]()
Given Aires history ( and without any personal experience on this birdie) I would say that their AM kits have to be one of the best fitting and easiest to work with updates I can find. Love the A-10 as I have seen those things training and they are a work of art!! Hope it all works out. Have too many Luftwaffe birds to build to ever get to an A-10 in the forseeable future otherwise a ground attack Group Build would be underway!
Joe, your a damn site luckyer than i am. I love Aires resin sets, but i have always had trouble getting cockpits to fit. I find it needs a lot of thinning of the plastic side walls and usually the outside of the resin as well. And even then its normally a tight fit.
By the way Joe, there already is a Ground Attack GB under way, butit has gone a bit quiet lately.
I guess I’ve just had the right kit and the right update set from Aires. I built a Hasegawa 109 G-10 several years ago with an Aires update and it worked pretty decent. The last update set I had was a Verlinden update for my 1/24 Trumpeter 109. THAT was a disaster so I stay away from Verlinden unless no one else offers an update set.
Wished I didn’t have so many kits to build already otherwise I would be in that ground attack GB.
That ground Attack GB is wrapping up in a few months…July I think.
Aires really does make awesome resin sets…
Well what ever your thinking of building for the Ground Attack GB, i am sure another GB will be along soon enough that it will fit into.
For me…Stuka is the first thing that comes to mind!
I thought so, watch this space [;)]
Copy that!!!
Alright, threadjackers…[;)]
Sorry dirkpitt. You know how us Luftwaffe guys are. We are probably they guys that’ll turn a thread about vanilla ice cream into a winter camoflage subject!!
As far as your situation you may have to do a little cutting but with Aires stuff its usually all worth it. As far as experience with that kit / upgrade set I’m sorry to say that I don’t have any.
