I don’t get on here much these days, but I was just scrolling through and thought of the old feller, realizing that I hadn’t seen any posts from him…
anyone have any contact with him?
Not in well over a year. I know the Mrs. had some more health problems and just wonder if he lost her, and lost all interest in the hobby. She’s his rock with his TBI issues.
I posted the same question 8 months ago, but all the responses were negative.
i have not, although I keep trying.

Lawdog found out he passed away last October.

He was something. When he first came along he was a new modeler and was whipping out models at a serious pace. We worked together to learn for him to enjoy the process, and he got good at relaxing.
I know there was another grandchild on the way.

Sorry guys, I meant to post the obituary here. I wanted to reach out to each and everyone of you that posted on this thread first as I knew some were pretty close to him on a personal level
He lived the next city over from where I work. We were eventually going to get together for some coffee and talk shop but that never happened, as life gets in the way. His positivity and personal transparency was certainly a breath of fresh air in this world and this forum. May he rest of in peace.
Aw man, we lost another “Good Guy”. He was always so positive, which is so rare in this day and age. He will be missed. Farewell Toshi.
I am gutted, but my thanks to Lawdog for letting us know. Such a good soul must go on to a better place. Rest In Peace cobber.

I enjoyed the few discussions I had with him. The threads he posted with his grandson always made me smile. He will be missed.

I just got a private message from Lawdog; Geez, I know that fellow will be missed. His positive attitude and sense of Humor in lieu of what he faced were Humongeous!! I do surely hope, As they say in the maritime genre that he now Always has" Fair Winds and Following Seas" Toshi, May you Rest the rest you earned. I will miss ya brudda!

Thanks for posting the search info for Toshi’s obituary, Goldhammer.
Last I recall hearing from Toshi he mentioned he had contracted Covid but that I think he was doing Ok. Maybe my memory is wrong, don’t know.
Either way-- a great light was taken from this world at his passing. He is missed.
I can imagine Toshi in his heavenly mansion and there are many models there to dazzle all of his visitors.
RIP Toshi, you are missed but not forgotten. Corsiars forever.
I am truly saddened to hear this. Toshi was a kind and gentle soul, and clearly doted on his grandson, Ezra. My condolences to his family, and to all who suffer from his loss.
