Haven’t built this Revel/Monogram kit, but I have built another one of theirs that didn’t fit at all either: The P-38 Lightning. I still shudder everytime I look at that travesty.
this may sound crazy but also kinda cool,forget the hull. just take the top part finish it best you can maybe put some small shell holes here and there, what i am getting at is build a diorama of the boat sunk right at the rivers edge with sand at the edge and lots of brush draped over to hide some major boo boo’s and get 1/48 scale figures trying to
hide/defend themselves from the enemy etc.
it could turn into a nice model that way really
