I just got trumpeters K1A1 and I am seeing squaderon is offering a bunch of update/ detail sets from legend for this kit.
Does this kit need it?
Has anyone seen the update stuff from legend?
I am just seeking the opinions of my peers before I dump a bunch of cash on something that I do not need.
I also know that legend and coree also offer full resin kits of this tank but I’m not ready for that yet.
Please give us your opinions of those as well if you like.

I had been planning to scratch it in 1/72, with a bunch of parts from the Matchbox Abrams and Leopard 2, but I haven’t seen that 1/35 kit yet. Problem is that there’s little info on the real thing (as far as I have found out anyway!) and it’s hard to say what needs replacement, updating, or need to be added…
Haven’t heard of such a vehicle in the inventory as of today. What country does this vehicle belong to, built in, originate from??? I would like to see more on this as I am a veteran tanker of 12 years. Keep me posted.
Korean made variant of a license-built M1 tank. I believe Hyundai is the main manufacturer of the actual tank.
I’ve been thinking about modeling the K1A1 together with tamiyas M1A1 just show simularitys and differences.
Today I bought the legond K1A1 detail set.
I should have it in a week and I will let you guys know how it looks.
I have the Trumpeter kit…the fit of the turret stowage boxes…etc is difficult. I would suggest at least invest in the legond turret.

The storage boxs are a pain in the arse.
It took me about two hours to fit the boxs just right on the turret but that including bottoms for the boxs that do not come with the kit (thank you evergreen styrene you saved me again).
This kit looks like it is gonna be more challaging than I thought.
I still haven’t gotton the upper hull yet.
That should be here any time now.
