I’m nearing completion of this beast, love this plane and I was wondering if anyone would agree with me on something. As the case with most Tamiya kits this big boy goes togetger real well. No fit problens at all except for the engine covers. Fit is poor? or did I bleep up as usual? I seem to recall that someone wrote that those parts were not a good fit. LOL Any comments would be appreciated.

I’ve built a number of these and agree that, for an elderly kit, it does go together generally very well.
The engine nacelles are a problematic area, requiring some fettling and filling, so it is unlikely that you have done anything wrong, though you do have to make certain that you get each one in the right place.
