I’ve just ordered the 1/72 Ju-87 Stuka by Academy. Has anyone here built it? Looks like a quality kit. Any opinions/ build up tips? Thanks!- Craig
No, but I think I’m gonna let myself be tempted by Eduards’ brand new 1/144 Stukas! No less than 4 of them have just come out!
Sorry I can’t help!
I have just returned from a visit to Norfolk (UK) and managed to call into Hannants where among other things I purchased this kit. Obviously I have not built it yet (or even started it) but the bits look good I consider. I shall be very interested to know your views
I haven’t built it yet but the tooling is superb. First-rate modern kit.
Its a very nice kit but has some shape issues in the nose area. The Fujimi kits are still the most accurate kit in the scale but the Academy kit is a simple build at a great price!

As Joe said, it has some minor shape issues but it looks like a Stuka to me when it’s done. Pretty easy build with no major problems.
Do you mean the Academy 1/72 Ju-87G-1"Tank Buster"?.. I have builded it… it is a very good kit… very detailed, and engraved panel lines, it comes with two marking options, both in RLM 65 under surfaces and splinter RLM 70/RLM 71 in the upper surfaces… cockpit interior in RLM 66… it was a funny build… well, enjoy it…
