Just started a new one . To be specific ,the hanomag Sdkfz251/1.by tamiya. Would anyone out there have a good picture of the instrument panel? Also if you’ve built it, any land mines I should be aware of Mike
First, point, and i am knitpicking here, but some people get really funny about useing the term hanomag for the 251. But the fact you have used the term, i am assuming you are talking about the old 251/1 Ausf C. they also did an Ausf D which does not have the H word on the box.
The kit you have is rather old and not very accurate. Its been a lot of years since i built it, and i seem to recall it went together well enough. One think i have found with many 251 kits is that fitting the top to the bottom can be tricky. Can’t remember if thats the case with this kit, but just watch out for it.
The drivers panel is pretty basic, most of my pics are in books, but i did find this.

I don’t know whether kit accuracy is an issue with you, if it is, then leave out the drum between the two front seats. Thats a water container only used on the Ambulance.

No worries Mike, i am a bit of a 251 fanatic so always look forward to 251 builds and have spent a lot of time reading up about them. I hope you will post some pics.
If u dig the Tamiya kit pick a Dragon offering for your second build…lots of variety in marks and very accurate w tons of detail…
