i finally got my hands on revells a elusive h-34 in 1/48 scale. my question is this. does anyone know of any detail sets out there available. i know this may be a shot in the dark and i don’t mind scratch building…but…some etched brass may be nice. thanks

Take a look at Swanny’s website. He did a great job with some scratch built details on a German H-34G. Swanny hangs out on these forums alot, and it’s fun to watch his builds. Sorry, I don’t think there’s much for detail sets out there.

Meteor Productions should have a resin detail set for the H-34 that they sell under Cutting Edge Resins. I made the masters for that set, for Meteor Productions in the mid 90’s. It included a white metal landing gear leg for the earlier H-34’s.

I did a quick search of their website and the only things I could find were in 1/72nd and some decals in 1/48th.

Maybe they figured there weren’t enough people out here who may have the kit that would use the detail set.

Try ebay. I swear I saw that set out there when I was looking for a 1/48 H-34 several months ago.

I’ve been bugging Dave Klaus (Meteor Productions) for a couple months to reissue the H-34 set and so far he does not seem inclined to do so. If Cobra Company can do the set I’ll put my name in for four sets.
