I’ve recentky started getting Hasegawa kits and have come across a problem. The colors recommended are for Gunze Sangyo brand with that company’s color codes, but no stores around here carry Gunze and I’d like to use the paints I have as possible before resorting to ordering more by mail.
Testors Model Master and Tamiya acrylics are what’s easeily available to me. Is there anything out there to help me cross-reference Gunze’s colors for matches from either of these brands? I figured I’d try this approach to get the info in one sweep rather than bugging everyone each time I open a new Hasegawa kit.

paint4models.com and ipmsstockholm.org, click on the Help button on the ipms home page for paint and other reference. Both of these have helped me translate Hasegawa callouts into MM and Tamiya numbers. Sprue Brothers carries Gunze’s paints if you can’t find a good match.
Thanks for the sites. They gave good matches for most of what I need right now and I guess I can eyeball what I’m not patient enough to order. They’ll definitely come in handy for some of the projects I have planned for next year.
