I herd you use thefoil from wine bottles to make the gun straps and tie downs for 1.35 scale armour. I was jsut wondering if the was special way to do it, also how about its length.
Thank you all in advance

I haven’t used foil in quite a while, but when I did I worked as flat as I could get it then I’d use a metal rule as a straight edge and line it up at the width I wanted then cut with a hobby knife. Length was figured out by test fitting and pruning as necessary.
That is exactly how I do it. Enjoy the red too! Try an Aussie bottle, we make great reds.

I’ve never tried it, but i have heard of masking tape being used.
I use computer paper with plastic tube glue.

Hey Awasoda,
I haven’t really used the method that you mentioned but you may want to try out surgical tape(3M tape).
They have either poris or non poris. I have used it many times and the results are great. They come in a variety of sizes from thin width to wide band. You get a better look w/ tape I feel as well as it conforms better to the surface.
You can purchase this type of tape at any hospital/medical store.
Flaps up, Mike
Thanks for the help
I also use medical tape, first because it has a nice texture and second because it sticks to the model nicely without glue.
Also Post it Notes work well for the same reasons.
I’m the guy that uses Tamiya 3mm tape. I cut it thin, glue it with CA and paint it. I’ll try to get pics up sometime.
