Yesterday i picked up a Tamiya panzer IV J with friul, pe, pe sideskirts, cavalier zimmerit, and resin road wheels all for $60. this is going to be a fun build!
Pretty nice score. I find that the missing lynx site usually has people posting nice deals like that. So far I’ve been pretty unlucky with e-bay, I’ve given up on it.
Wow- that is a lot of stuff!
It’s a great price. If you guys are interested, the guy who i bought this from has allot of these sets that go up. email me if you want the guys ebay name.
Martha Stewart’s jail jumpsuit?
The Holy Lance?
That woman’s finger from the Wendy’s Chili?
Oh, a model! [;)]
A little eBay levity …
ive seen for the Panzer 4 a dragon kit + tamiya kit + verlinden interior + modelkasten tracks + alot more things
i would get them myself but ive got 3 panzer 4s from tamiya and they dont ship to here
its was a link on perth http://www.modelsbymickster.com/ in the old kits part
ive got nothing to do with this site its just that ive seen the site from that link on perth
I thought I bought Martha’s jumpsuit on Ebay. It’s supposed to come with a certificate of authenticity…[:P]
Seriously, that’s a good buy of models and AM parts. Any idea how you want to paint it?
Help me get into the terminology please, i understand resin road wheels but:
friul, pe, pe sideskirts, cavalier zimmerit?
And best of luck with your project[8D]
Friul model tracks (metal working tracks) PE = photo etch and side skirts, cavalier zimmerit ( resin texture for the side, anti magnet paste)
Nice haul. I’ve only recently discovered the fantastic savings on Ebay. Sometimes I have no idea how the seller expects to make any money. It’s like here, take it off me.
Hey tankbuild, could you e-mail his e-bay name to me.
Thanks
Hey captian I have seen that site. I even contemplated buying that set and seeling what i don’t need (most of it) on ebay.
Tigerman, I know how you feel. Its kinda like “i’ll take the shot for you”. I am also a Pink Floyd fan, and I love to buy memorabilia of of ebay. Its a great feeling buying a pair of Pink Floyd boxers for $.01 and then paying $4.99 shipping. [:P]
I plan on building it into a HitlerJugend 12 SS during D-day. They had nice camo schemes, and it is also in coloraboration with a 12th SS group (3 people) build at my local club. my brother is doing a jagdpanzer IV and my friend is doing a Panther A.
I picked up a couple of things on E-bay lately, but my last experience was one of those E-bay horror stories. I won (or so I thought) an Italeri LVT-4 for $15.99. It took 2 days to get ahold of the seller to pay. I was told it would take 2 or 3 days to ship to me on Long Island from New Hampshire. A week later, I was still waiting. Called them again (twice) and E-mailed, finally hearing 3 days after that that DHL lost the package (yeah right). They told me they would send another overnite. Overnight came and went and no kit. Called again and - oops we really sent it regular shipping. 4 more days and I called and cancelled it (I hope). The company was called Hobbies4less. Avoid them if you see them. I think I spent more on phone calls than the kit cost!! I personally think they never sent it or intended to because they didn’t get the price they were looking for. And now they’re no longer registered with E-bay, go figure.
P.S. I showed them - I ordered an Italeri LVT(a)4 from GM yesterday!!! (this one’s got a turret!!)
Well, one thing to do is to buy from a seller with a good history and preferably a power seller.

This guy had all positive ratings. Apparently he just went in the tank on this one. I got a kit from Hong Kong in about a week and a half. You just never know.
