Nice work! Your paint job is fantastic and you did good getting the decals to hunker down over the rivets! [tup][tup]
That looks great! The landing gear are perfect- just like the Wildcat I saw this past Thursday in the Air & Space Museum in Wash. DC. The paint is nice, good weathering.
Great work!
I’ve go that kit in the stash- you’ve set the bar high. [;)]
Sorry OT but did you go to the one in Dulles too? I highly recommend that one too. I personally like it more then the one in DC
Anyways to the build. Really great looking. I like the faded look.
Hey, hey! Dat looks niiiice…
Fade to Black…
Did you rivet the model or are they just that pronounced?
Looks like a fantastic aircraft, definitely something to aspire to that level.
Nice lookin Cat you got there.
Flaps up, Mike
That’s a great looking model. The paint job and weathering are very well done and convincing. I don’t know if it was intentional or not, but I really like the low angle of the lighting in your pics. It gives it a realistic dawn or dusk look. Outstanding…love it.
Jerry
Rivets are just as they come in the kit. From Wildcats that I have seen they appear to be pretty accurate.
Gotcha, nice build.
Outstanding! You certainly did justice to a great kit of a great plane. The paint and weathering are perfect, and as the others have pointed out, the decals look as if they were painted on. I didn’t pay that much attention to the lighting until reading Jerry’s post…another dimension to the model. Great work, once again.
Very nice great job on the weathering.
I really like early war US schemes. Very nicely done Wildcat.
Very, very nice…You did a he!! of a job on the paint job and weathering. It’s always makes me feel good to see a member of the Grumman Iron Works family of Cats look as nice as this one. How about a Hellcat next?
Very nice looking build.
The weathering is spot on.
Karl
Super job on your Wildcat, nice weathering and done just right, subtle, not too much. Did the Mk. VIII gun sight come with the kit, or is it an add-on AM part?
Thanks for posting.
Gunsight is kit part.
