I don’t know Bill, there’s very little info/photo’s anywhere as far as I can see.
Thanks for the photo philo426, would that be the large scale version?
I might have a go at Trumpeter’s 1/32 version(s) in the next year.
I would advise to go with Vallejo’s Matt versions of the Navy/Marine Corps aircraft rather than the gloss colours as the sea air etc would weather the gloss paint to a Matt pretty quickly.
Rather than decals, you could use masks to do much of the insignia and numbers painting or if they do a set, HGW’s wet transfer sets.

Finished today…
The USAF logo’s from the kit, all others from my decal spares.
Nice job!
Cheers philo426. One comment on another site was that it isn’t a TBM but a TBF, only because I couldn’t find a TBM kit.
Hi, that turned out really nice
Looking great!Like the old school.flight stand!
Thanks guys. The stand came with the kit, pleased with that.
Very cool indeed!
Even if she isn’t the exact right version that’s still some really nice work! [Y]
Thanks guys. I learn’t how to paint the ridges on the cockpit canopy this time so getting a bit better each time!
Nicely done! And an interesting prototype. 4 more and a ufo to go?
Josh
Cheers Josh. How’s the weather in Brisbane, we were out there a few years ago.
We like to say everyday in Queensland is hot and sunny with a chance of showers! Realistically we have had 3 or 4 days of rain in months and its warming up pretty quick. I expect a hot summer. I hope you enjoyed your time here in Brissy. Just out for a holiday or have family?
Josh
Nice! Congrats. I like the “in flight” display.
Well Josh we were hoping to retire to OZ but found we hadn’t got large enough pension plans and as the overseas workers age limit was 45 neither of us would be able to get jobs.
We came out for a month in 2003, and stayed on Broadbech but toured around from ther, my wife’s boss and his wife and kids lived there for a number of years but had to return to take over the family business when his father died.
He suggested we go see Coffs Harbour as he lived close by, and we did but didn’t see any interest in it, after travelling there and back in a day.
We stopped off last year for our 50th anniversary, joining a cruise ship in Sydney out to the Fijian Islands, back to Sydney and out to New Zealand all over a month. Superb trip!
Thanks Hoss WA.
