Do any of you airline guys know of a company that produces a kit of the Grumman Goose? I’d like to build one of those in the livery of Penn Air.
Czech Models produced a 1:48 Goose. Sprue Brothers has one in stock at the moment. Item # CZM4818
It looks something like this once assembled and painted.
Lindberg makes one in 1/48 scale. I own one of these but haven’t got around to building it yet, it’s still in plastic wrap too. It has a trademark date of 2007 on the box.

I’ve got one of those too. With a little scratch building, it could be made into a decent kit. The props will need to be replaced since they look awful and rotate in different directions. The mold is from either Adams or ITC when it would “taxi” from being motorized with parts that Lindberg chose to leave out. Other brands are better, but this is the only affordable kit out there. Good for practice in turning a" sow’s ear “into a” silk purse".[bgr]
Stretching the thread a bit, I have for some time wanted to do the Grumman Widgeon. At our annual club auction someone had donated an Airfix Widgeon, and I managed to win the bid on that. Got it for five bucks.
I’m a FEW days late and a dollar short here, but Signifier makes a totally awesome looking 1/48 Goose. I had to buy mine directly from the manufacturer as I couldn’t find anyone who actually was selling the kit besides the manufacturer themselves.

I’m still waiting for my Goose to arrive from France. I plan on making mine up to look like “Cutter’s Goose” from the early 80s TV series ‘Tales of the Gold Monkey.’
