Hi guys!! This is my first model after my finger accident, it was falf way finished when I have my injury so mosto of the work was done, but it was nice finish something.
The model is from Pavla, and it´s my 2nd biplane, and the 1rst one in almost ten years, as with any limited run kit was a challenge to build, all the parts need clean up and nothig fit, put the resin cockpit in the fuselage was a nightmare, I have to sand the resin cockpit wall and the fuselage halves almost papper thin, only to close the assembly. All the joints need some serious filling and sanding.
Once I get to the upper wing more problems await me: ALL the strus was unequal in legth.
I paintd the model using Alclad II and enamels, I painted the model imn colours of a plane in service with Argentina´s navy in the ´30 The rigging was done using nylon monofilament
Ahhh the decals were incorrect and they desintegrated as soon they touch the water, so I resue some of them and use some of my spares, still I will have to print some.
Hope you like it, any critics or coment will be welcome
Rarely I’ve seen this model builded and the first time I see it in Argentina markings! You did a beatiful finished there! are you sure you finish it with just one hand???
The colors specially the blue it catch a lot my attention, and the riggings, wow! love it!
I love those diverse South American schemes…I’m sure they give many of us new ideas!
There is one question I have…mainly from ignorance of those schemes…Is that upper wing yellow color accurate? It looks like you mixed a special color. Or maybe the camera is playing tricks on me.
I think these FSM forums are quite proud of our growing SA community![tup]
Thanks for your words guys!! I just see a picture, and turn out a made a mistake rigging the model, but still i´m happy.
for the rigging I use nylon monofilament.
The wellow wing is that colour becouse it was the only yellow i have on hand, and in my state the lasto two hobby shops closed a couple of years ago, the true color must be a Orange-yellow.
OUTSTANDING job on your tiny 1/72 Duck. I amputated my thumb and first finger this year and have only been able to manage the big 1/24 scale kits. Thanks for sharing the great looking photos.
Great to see you back in (limited) action, Jeremias! And what a return! The work on the Duck is beautiful, and as always you have given us an unusual or exotic subject. I look forward to your builds especially, as each and every one is a real treat and an eye opener! Thanks for sharing and welcome back! I hope the injury is healing well and quickly!
Thanks man! I´m back maybe in LIMITED action but today i´m starting a new rare subjet, my lockheed-martin AT-63 Pampa, hope tofinish it soon and show it here.
