This may seem like a stupid question, but what exactly is a group build?
A Group Build is where someone comes up with an idea that may interest a group of people. The object is to share information and come up with a bunch of models based on the same vehicle, or even a particular battle. For instance we have the Panther and Sherman G.B.'s just wrapping up and the Abrams and Towed Gun Builds just getting rolling.
Hope this helps a bit my neighbour to the South. [:D]
(you may want to do a G.B. of vehicles at the Museum of the Regiments)
speaking of the museum of regiments: do you know why there is a churchill VII crocodile even though canada didn’t use them?
couldn’t do a group build on the churchill because i already build one (turned out very good, first model i didn’t screw up on), but i intend to get a universal carrier.
From what I understand, they wanted a Churchill there to represent the vehicles used at Dieppe and the only beast available was the Croc.
The Canadian Army did have some Crocs attached during the Normandy campaign though … guess that’s close. [^]
How about a small AFV group build?
small AFV groub build, sure! i just have to buy a universal carrier and a lynx. i’m building a diorama, after these vehicles i just need to work on senery and details.
AS for the crocodile, i posted the same question on canadian wwii military site and they all said canada didn’t use them, but couln’t explain why it is at the museum [:)]
Lots of weird things are seen in the world these days-even back then. Canadians might have had 2 or 3 test vehicles, or the museum might have screwed up.
t3488g i noticed you play bf1942?

No screw up on the part of the museum, they new exactly what they were getting. The Churchill was found in a scrap yard in England and was brought over by the British Army when they came for their yearly romp at CFB Suffield. The currators at the Museum of the Regiments are all very knowledgeble and helpful from my experiences with them.
Besides, if you had a Croc, wouldn’t you want to show it off?
so i guess i should paint my croc in canadian colors(cry, sob)
shermanfirefly: did u go to my site?
