evening all… needing some quick answers to a question. I usually do cars and such (have a Corsair in box waiting for right time [:D]) and was wondering when using ALCAD if its better to brush or airbrush? If using airbrush what are thinning requirements? Also is it better to use a gloss or flat primer. Thanks for any responses and forgive me for intruding in the wingie thingies section[:D].Shane

Alclad MUST be airbrushed, it is ready for use as it comes from the jar and a gloss black paint is the best primer. Dark gray primer will give a slightly different tone to the Alclad.

You’re not intruding - in fact you’re welcome !
You have a Corsair waiting for the right time ? It’s always the right time for a wingy thing !
Chris
Alclad2 is formulated for airbrush use & does not require thinning. Does require lacquer thinner for AB clean up.

Thank you all for the help. Have heard a lot about it and decided to give it a try. Yardbird…what part of MO. are you from… I grew up in a little town called Troy. Moved to Portland many years ago. All my family still leave in or around Troy and I still visit frequently…I’ll keep my eyes upward and foot on the throttle [(-D]. Bossman… the corsair will be first plane ever built so I am improving my skills so that it might look good enough to post pics[:)]…Thanks again all…Shane
