Greetings!

Hello! My name is Rick and I’m an almost 40 (ouch!) year old modeler.

I enjoyed modeling in the late 70s and early 80s (World War II stuff as well as dinosaurs). Started again in '96 for a couple of years. I’m back again!

I enjoy building 1/72 armor kits and soldiers. I have about 140+ kits to work on - my wife says I need to get my butt in gear!

My true passion is my family. I also enjoy HO scale trains and the American Le Mans Series. My first car to build will be my Revell Audi R10…

Looking forward to visiting the forum often!

PS-Can someone post a thread or give me an address for the Iraqi Freedom soldiers model club? Thanks.

[#welcome] to the forums, and back to the hobby Rick!

That Audi R10 is a wicked looking car, I hope to see photos of it in the future! [tup]

Welcome to the forums Rick!

[#welcome] to the forums almsrick!!! Hope to see you around the armor section.

For an answer to your question, post a thread in the armor section, the other guys may have an answer.

Hi Rick and welcome!

Enjoy yourself here! I’m sure you will!

For your question…maybe try Anysoldier.com and check the links!

There is a modeler here named Rob Gronovius, an Army Officer that supports deployed modelers and may be able to help. I’ll see if I can get him for you!

Okay Rick…I’ve PM’ed Rob and gave him the gist of your question. I’m confident that you’ll hear from him or others!

Welcome, I’m not familiar with that organization, but if you visit the charity forum here, there are several addresses for where to send kits to troops on the first page alone. Heavy Arty also has posted a thread with his name as the point of contact to get kits to one of the various modeling clubs in Iraq.

Darned Rob! I have never checked the Charity threads! I’m all the time sending stuff for personal use…maybe I can add a kit or something now!

Welcome to the Forums Rick [#welcome]. Glad you’re here.

Thanksto all for the greetings!

Thanks for the info as well. I have some kits to donate…
