Greetings from Regina, Saskatchewan - Canada

I have just taken up this hobby (December, 2006) after attending a scale model show in Regina. I went home, thought about it and jumped in with both feet.

I am a retired Police Officer, and love to motorycyle tour, but needed something else.

I have just started on a DH Mosquito (Scale 1/72) and progressing very slowing. I am slow as I have never done this before. Enjoying this very much.

I have never posted to any forums before, so Please be patient with this newbie modeler who is trying to learn.

As I go along, I will no doubt be asking for assistance from all you experienced modelers.

John

Welcome to the forums and hobby John!

Welcome to the hobby. I’ve been modeling off and on for years but have been thinking of taking part in poker runs on my '82 Suzuki GS850. Maybe I should follow your example and jump into motorcycling with both feet like you have modeling.

Good luck with the Mossie and let us know how it turns out.

Welcome to the forum and the hobby. Congratulations on jumping in with both feet.

Thanks for the warm welcome to the Forum. [:)].

Not knowing what my forte will be, I plan on trying different types of models (aircraft, auto, tanks, etc). Since I have never done this before, the DH Mosquito will be my ‘guinea pig’. At the moment it doesn’t look pretty, but I’m happy with what I have accomplished. No camera to share photos, but may have to mooch my daughter’s digital (if she is kind hearted, will post in the aircraft section for constructive criticism.

Just lucked out and obtained a Revell (1:24) '69 Dodge Super Bee 2’n1. Will build this before I tackle the 1932 Ford Vicky.

Who says that an old dog (geyser at 58 yrs young) can’t learn something new.

If this is is in the wrong area let me know and accept my apology, as new to forum procedures.

John

You’re doing just fine. Any questions we can handle. As the Vulcans say, “We’re here to serve.” (Yes, I’m a Trekkie geek and it is no secret. Tease away, like most here have done at one time or another.[;)] I’m the resident “sister” of the forum.[:)])
